HAPPY NEW YEAR
Dear Esteemed Members, 2025 is here.
The WASLI Board is delighted to welcome you all to 2025. This year promises to be a year full of exciting activities and initiatives, carefully designed by the board to engage and benefit our entire community. These activities were thoughtfully crafted based on the feedback and engagements we have had with you in the previous year. We appreciate your active participation and insightful contributions, which have been instrumental in shaping our plans.
As we step into this New Year, we are thrilled to share some of the highlights you can look forward to:
Reviewed 3-Year Strategic Plan: The WASLI Board is pleased to announce the review of our comprehensive 3-year strategic plan, which will guide our various programs and activities through 2027. This plan has been meticulously crafted to ensure that our efforts are aligned with our mission and vision for the future.
ยท Strategic Pillars: Our 3-year strategic plan is built around four key strategic pillars:
- Strategic Communication: This pillar focuses on enhancing our communication efforts to ensure that our messages are clear, consistent, and reach all our stakeholders within and outside the WASLI Structure.
- Capacity Building: We are committed to developing the skills and capabilities of our members through targeted training and development programs.
- Financial Resilience and Development: This pillar aims to strengthen our financial foundations and ensure sustainable growth through strategic financial planning and resource management.
- Partnership and Collaboration: We will continue to foster and expand our network of partnerships and collaborations to enhance our impact and reach.
General Assembly on the 29th April: We are excited to announce that our annual General Assembly will take place on the 29th of April this year. To accommodate our global membership and ensure maximum participation, this year’s assembly will be held virtually. This format will allow us to connect with members from around the world and engage in meaningful discussions.
New Website Launch: In alignment with our fourth strategic pillar, WASLI has launched a new website designed to improve our information dissemination and provide a clear channel of communication with our members globally. The new website features enhanced functionality, user-friendly navigation, and a wealth of resources for our community.
Establishment of Working Groups: As outlined in the WASLI governing document, the board is expanding its efforts by establishing various Working Groups. These groups will be instrumental in helping us accomplish our tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Each Working Group will focus on specific areas of interest and contribute to the overall goals of WASLI.
Looking forward to working with you this year.
