Since its inception WASLI has engaged in fundraising and fund development activities and opportunities in order to support the international work the organization has engaged in, including sponsoring delegates from developing countries to attend the WASLI conference and securing sponsorship for the conference. Most of this work, however, has been done on an individual or national association basis or has been spearheaded by the WASLI board.
In order to strengthen and solidify on-going fundraising and fund development activities and endeavors the WASLI board has recently created the Fund Development Committee. This committee is tasked with identifying potential fundraising opportunities and activities within each region by working with the regional representatives to discuss options and strategies specific to those regions. The committee will also work to identify other funding sources and possibly assist the board in drafting applications in order to fund special projects that further the international work of WASLI. Additionally, this committee will assist the Conference Committee in securing sponsorship for the WASLI conference.
If you have fundraising experience and/or a financial background and are interested in contributing to the international work that WASLI is undertaking, please consider joining this committee. Letters of interest outlining your background and experience and how you will contribute to the work of the committee should be sent to the WASLI Secretary by
