WASLI President Opening Speech

The winner was the Jordanian designer, Mr. Hussam Mohammad awwad El Farra. He is a talented designer who has designed many commercial products for over a decade. A round of applause for him designing our beautiful WASLI 2023 conference logo.

Description: The logo incorporates three emphatic curled shapes encircling an imagined conference room. A set of three dots circling the three shapes was adapted from Obangsaek, which is the traditional Korean colour spectrum consisting of white, black, blue, yellow and red. The curved shapes and dots are individually painted with blue, yellow and red. Ten white icons can be seen imprinted nicely and fit in the curved shapes. These represent South Korean cultural elements, such as dress, food, building, music, fan, and dance. The text below the logo uses three colours – blue, red- and black. The use of colours is well balanced.
