Welcome to WASLI's Home on the Web

Welcome to the internet home of the World Association of Sign Language Interpreters (WASLI).  This website is designed to offer you information about WASLI’s development, and some of our activities. It will also provide you with resources and links to our national member organizations. Check our announcements area for updates as well.

During the WASLI 2011 conference in Durban, South Africa, a new board was elected that will serve the organization for the next 4 years.  Take some time to become familiar with your regional representative, and the executive.  We welcome your views, and invite you to become a sponsoring individual member, a national member, or if your country does not yet have national association, to work towards that via a provisional national membership. Your views and contributions are needed to shape this organization.

WASLI is proud of its achievement over the short years that it has been in existence, and with your involvement, we can achieve much more.  Each country has its own unique experience in relation to interpreting, and by sharing your experience you help others to see possibilities for our shared profession, and how we can work collaboratively with Deaf organizations worldwide.  Welcome to WASLI!
